You may well remember this kitten from such memorable photos as: "The Dog Did It", "Look!, I has a Present for You", "Those are Pre-existing Scratches on the Sofa" and "I'm Trying to Nap Here!".

Here we have a young kitten about to enter stealth mode. As you can see the tail has already started to go out of phase and soon all that will remain to be seen is a flash of fur. The kitten having failed to gain entry into the dog's bunker behind her has turned her attention on the hapless photographer laying in a vulnerable position on the floor beneath the dining room table, wedged in tightly by the chairs. The perfect target.

So I had this photo that was slightly blurry to begin with and decided to add more blur to it. What could it hurt. Left the full background in as it just doesn't work for me when cropped. But, I left you a perfectly reasonable line where you can crop it should you feel so inclined. I promise I won't judge you. On the other hand I did straighten the photo out, it was at one point listing 3° down to the left. Of course then I had to fill in the blank edges with a little touch of the clone brush. Cropping it would have been a lot easier, but since when have I taken the easy route. If I haven't thrown my hands up in disgust at least three times in the editing process it just doesn't feel worth it. That, and throw the mouse across the room.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Obviously the cat doesn't have your tongue or should I say typing fingers Wendell? So that's why the cat is in stealth mode. It is after they mouse you threw across the room.
Good Jerry view of Tom.

So as I saw the photo I made a mix of "ooohhh" and smile, reading your narrative I kept smiling more and more! :-) Very cute and fluffy, lovely possibilities of a kitten living adventures and discovering life, a very fun moment you got here Wendell! Very nice!

Well I have seen that pose before on my cats and kittens and usually there's trouble brewing! I do hope you use a cordless mouse. It's a good catch despite the troubles you had.

It's a toss up, Wendell. I can't decide if I like the photo or the narrative better. They're both very entertaining and even made me smile. This is a a classic shot of a classic pose. The kitten lovers will give you good marks in the VB. I just spent two weeks feeding my neighbor's two cats, one dog, five birds and two goats. After getting attacked by the "outside" cat and bucked down the hill by the alpha goat, I'm leaning heavily toward awarding this maybe a 4 in the VB. My love for cats begins and ends with the egg fu yung at the Golden China downtown.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Great attack cat photo. Just don't scream when he pounces.
