Some of you might remember this fellow from an earlier photo (long since removed). Proper introductions were never made at that time. So Oskar meet people, people meet Oskar. There that's done. I originally met Oskar on a chilly September morning while he was defrosting and in no condition to argue over having his portrait taken. I've since painstakingly hunted him down and gotten him to sign the release forms needed to post his image online.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I bet Felix got tired of cleaning up behind Oskar,Wendell. Oskar looks a little grumpy and gassy. A good shot and the sunshine will do him goo.

Great capture, but ugly customer. I like the lighting to the shot though.

I have a Summer lodger like that. Maybe a bit more olive color, but I've never gotten a shot. He's always just about stepped on when I take Blue out at night.
You got a nice close-up Wendell.

Well, Wendell, leave it to me to be the *^&$#. I read with some surprise the fine comments above. The shot is well focused, has nice colors and the subject is a fine specimen. But didn't anybody else notice that the background and foreground are so busy that it's tough to actually pick out the toad. If it wasn't for his eye, I'm not sure I would have noticed him amongst the frantic surroundings? The lighting is distracting and almost overpowering. Is this one of those experiments where you throw in a piece of %$*# to see if anybody says anything? If not, I apologize for missing the boat on what everybody else thinks is the Toada Lisa.

Well, Wendell, Dorothy has a bit of thorn tonight! I found your picture interesting, just as it is. The frog coming into focus was a nice surprise for me. What makes art is the journey from left to right, from top to bottom. If everything were to be perfectly clear, then why bother with the read.

'Ribbett'!

I guess you couldn't help the background because of those great shadows!...It adds a bit of mystery to the take!..
