An early morning out at the lake and this was the sight that greeted us. Good thing boating wasn't on our minds. Later that day the view would change to something approaching this. I'm too lazy to look at the date stamps to actually verify the two photos were taken on the same day.

This might be a bit too much on the dark side. Or at least that's the way it looks while I'm writing this. I'll have to wait and see what it looks like when viewed full screen as they say. I did mean for it to have some shadows and even added some for no good reason; but if it looks as god-awful as this thumbnail I clearly went too far.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I like this one better. No air traffic showing.

It's a great moody shot. It's better balanced when cropped in to the tree from the left border, but it tend to minimize the fog and mood. I like your version best.

Quite a difference between the two Wendell. I like the foggy view. Makes me want to jump in the bass boat and go casting. You can follow in the pontoon with breakfast and some cold frosties.
Excellent work.

Actually I like both shots equally except that "When the Fog Lifts" has way too much sky. The mirror images created by such still waters are truly beautiful.

The vignetting was an interesting idea, Wendell. It seems to minimize the horrendous compositional blunder of including a portion of the tree on the left. Does that make up for the pass I gave you on your last posting? :-)

P.S. Nice fog shot. If you keep posting fog shots, I might have to post a blurred shot of my neighbor's dog and call it a coyote.

This is where the monster comes out of the foggy lake and starts to eat people right? This is a very tranquil scene with wonderful colors and mood! Great shot!
