Yes, I realize the colours are over-saturated if not downright glowing. Okay, they are glowing as well. But given what pollutes the waters this unfortunate starfish found itself in, glowing is the least of it's problems.

A photo shot last year down in Halifax harbour. A harbour noted for releasing sewage into it as a waste management solution. I found this starfish clinging to one of the wharf pylons and took the obligatory "that looks interesting, maybe I can do something with it" photos. Turns out it wasn't such a great photo so I ended up doing this to it for lack of anything else. Manipulated several times over.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I believe Patrick has lost Spongebob but Squidward will come out of the black abyss and show him the way home Wendell. I like the split view composition.

I have one just like it. It's a chew toy for my dog and used to squeak until my dog ate that part of the innards. Actually considering what it looks like you had to work with, the final product looks pretty interesting at this particular scale.

Wow, Wendell, I see a symbollism with the "star"fish. Possibly, his pathway is not in a body of earthly water, but rather, he is passing through space on his way towards the light source in front of it.

I took a picture of a starfish once, and it wasn't half as good or interesting as this. I like the colors in this, and it reminds me of Disney's "Fantasia." Beautiful Wendell.
