That's not to say they were cowards, just that the colour of these wildflowers was yellow. If anything they were bashful or very pious, as a great many of them had their heads bowed like the one in the background. And short. I think the tallest, proudest one was topping 6 inches. The forest clearings are blanketed in these flowers at this moment making for some very busy bees.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Wendell - Near my yard, we get the leaves but no flowers. It is nice to see what they look like. Well done. Thad

Pat identified them correctly and it's a great shot - you must be crawling around the forest floor to be getting all these lil' guys of late!

This is a rarity, Wendell. You post very few portrait views, but landscape doesn't look feasible with these beauties. Next you'll be adding borders to your images. And I agree with Kathy that you're probably lying in the mud which from what I hear is quite natural for you :-).

I can't find a heck of a lot to critique here, Wendell. Most things technical are spot on. Colors, depth of field, clarity, focus. But you know me and how I love to nitpick your postings; so I'm looking at a downloaded version and scanning the shot at 200% in an effort to find something irritating about this shot. Actually I'm rather irritated with myself for wasting my precious time. So if I see this in the VB, it'll get a 1 just because I'm feeling bitchy.

Very nice, Wendell. I thought they looked somewhat like a Day Lilly as well, but with narrower petals. Nice to know the names.

Good vertical post and the colors are very Spring. Score should be higher.
