I finally got around to getting a shot of the fountain down at the duck pond. Naturally I ended up having to wait for the moment when the fountain was gushing and for the moment when everyone on the opposite shore cleared the frame. It only took about 30 minutes for that window to open up. I think I might invest in some crime scene tape, pylons and barricades for future endeavors. Minf you I probably should have waited until night time when they light the fountain up, or at least they used to.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Nicely composed. I am glad you didnt put the fountain slap bang in the centre of the picture. However, its a shame there is so much water and sky in the picture as it would have been nice to have it focused on the fountain a little more.

"Thar she blows," Wendell. I think you captured Moby Duck.
Your due diligence paid off. Good shot.

Hi ya, Wendell...

Hope your finger is better.

On another matter I read Homtail's comments. Always looking for something to criticize on your postings, I thought about what she had said. It's all a matter of personal preference, but I like the four equal quadrants in your shot. We've both been guilty of having too much sky and too much water in a shot, but this one looks right to me. The distant background has an interesting sky with those Canadian clouds. The reeds in the foreground help to give depth and color to the shot. The park setting adds another layer of interest, and the water is water. A nicely balanced shot although I see some focus issues especially in the left side trees. It looks like a very windy day; so it's commendable that the park benches aren't blurry.

I am curious about the object in the water in about the middle of the shot just above the cat tails. It sure isn't a duck.

Well Wendell it sure was worth the wait as this is a stunning photo. The layout depth of field and colours are very nice.I love how you have the reeds and grasses at the front of the scene, and the sky is stunning too.
