This one is for Carol. She thought there might be something interesting down at the end of the path shown in the previous post. I suppose this is technically near the end of the path. If you were to take a right turn and follow another path for a bit you would eventually come across this scene. I don't know if it's interesting, but there it is.

I tried something a little different for this photo. If I did it right you won't notice. But if you do notice don't ruin it for the rest.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I'm intrigued by the second paragraph of your narrative, Wendell. But after downloading this and viewing it very closely, I don't see any smoke or mirrors. It just looks like your everyday, run of the mill photo of a pond. The colors look very good (especially the pond scum on the right), the reflection is especially dazzling and for once I don't detect anything amiss in the horizon. I'll assume that you did some sort of fancy, new fangled PhotoShop magic. Or it could be that this is the first time you used a tripod because I don't detect the usual motion blur. I know you said it was sunny the day you took these shots; so I have a suspicion. Very nice contrasting light patterns in the foliage as well.

Lovely composition and subject matter. I love the little house hidden away in the trees and the stillness of the water! Nice :D

I like the reflections very much Wendell. Very clear throughout.
What you did to stray from the norm eludes me because you in general stray from the norm.
Good post.

Lovely pond scene, with a nice reflection of the fountain. I just knew there had to be something worthwhile at the other end of that path. I haven't found what you did, but I'll keep looking. Sure glad you checked further and found this tranquil area.
