or "Give them enough Rope". Whichever you prefer.

Meet Mr. Brown, though it is not his given name everyone calls him Charlie. As you can plainly see his kite once again got tangled in a tree. A discussion was held on who should retrieve said kite. He lost the ensuing coin toss that settled the matter. And thus we find him up a tree and out on a limb.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

For your listening pleasure Wendell, click here.
You shouldn't have told Charlie to "go fly a kite."

Looks to me like he's tying a hangman's noose, Wendell. Must be one of your co-workers who's had just about enough of your lip.

As far as I'm concerned, this is very impressive camera work with what must have been severe backlighting on a clear day. This shot would have taken me about 3000 attempts as I clicked every button and moved every dial on my camera. I probably would have switched lenses and filters a number of times as well as standing on alternating legs and lying on my back.

A very good job handling the lighting and keeping the leaves from blowing out like you usually do. Did you steal this shot from that woman on "My Desktop Nexus"?

Now I'm wondering if this is your contest entry. A total of three living (he is still alive, right?) people in two days is a record for you. The shot would have looked pretty silly if you had cloned him out of the shot. Good luck in the contest. You still have my first place vote, but remember I have to receive the money before the contest as agreed.

I tried to get my shot today at the pool for the "People" contest. I was surprised at the reaction when I strolled into the women's locker room with my camera.

Must say it's different Wendell and a good capture.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Wendell - That must be one big kite, having a string of this magnitude. I hope he remembers which side of the limb he;s on when he starts the chainsaw. Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.

With the thickness of that rope it must be a hot air balloon ,not a kite lol.Very amusing looking photography and nice sharp detail too.Love the sunlight in the tree it brings out the detail in the bark.Plus stunning blue sky and light in this photo too.

Interesting angle with good detail throughout, Wendell. I was also thinking.... must be a 747 kite.

You captured a unique shot of a man out on a limb. How often does that happen? Good shot.

Ah... interesting. I like this, it's different and has humor. And out of curiosity, where is said kite? :)
