... or "It Couldn't Be Helped".

One of those three photo stitch jobs. In this case shot back in Oct. of 09 at the park. I think I spend way too much time there. For the record I tried several different crops of this scene. But that tree insisted on remaining close to or in the middle of the frame. So like me, you're stuck with this particular view of the scene. I'll let you decide on which side you want to sit. :D

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Your right...it's like that rock in the middle of the stream...just can't be avoided. Sometimes you just have to break the rules...nice shot...Tom

I think the shot is perfectly balanced, Wendell. It's certainly not always a necessity to offset a subject to improve the composition, but in this case you've done a fabulous job of offsetting the subject. That crow on the right is the subject, isn't it?

Heck...I'm not sure if I would have done anything different. Personally I don't like to chop off the tops of trees if I can help it, but it looks like you have an overhanging branch right above you. I guess you could have stepped forward a few strides and presented this in vertical mode or stitched together 30 shots.

Great colors, well focused (do ever use a sharpen edge command?), nice light and dark contrasts. I do believe that this is the first shot in this park with a level horizon; so I guess congratulations are in order.

I'm taking off for a few weeks; so you'd better savor this comment. Like a fine wine or a fungus, it'll grow and improve with age.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Love capture of autumn colours and the sun light is stunning in this capture. The composition is photo and nice depth of field too.The crow on the right adds a nice touch too.I also love the different verity of trees in this small area,it must be alive with bird life.

no problem with comp in my eyes - tree can be stubborn and don't like to be moved!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
