I found this fella camping out on the neighbour's roof the other day. Naturally just as I was getting ready to snap a few un-artistic snapshots he decides it would be a great time to stretch the wings and shake his tail feathers. So caught unawares and with the wrong camera settings I did what I had to. Though if anyone asks I'll deny it. Contrary to all appearances it was much lighter than it appears and the bird was approaching from the west not the east. I figured if he could move about then I could move him about too.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Very cool. I love the way your can see the tiny flakes of snow falling. The motion of the bird looks great. Such a shame he is a little out of focus.

Wendell, nice shot - I think I would have cloned that distracting dark line from the roof divide though - really strong looking bird.

Be careful where you move him Wendell, he could put an eye out. It looks really cold. I like the tone to this one so I am being careful to use a good tone with you.
Good post.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
