Enjoy a well earned rest and rub your tired feet. Take in the view. I can't recall if the view is breathtaking from this vantage point or even if there is one to be seen from here. But you have to figure there's a view of something to be had here. Otherwise it would seem to be a silly place to put a bench. Up around the bend in the trail a waterfall can be seen. But you definitely can't see it from here.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

That's one rugged looking bench,Wendell.... and I doubt anyone would take that seat anywhere without a crane :-).

I believe I will sit a spell as it was 101F. yesterday - I love this spot I remember seeing it before and liking it - it's nice to return in the summer as I think it was fall last time.

What a cool place to hang out, take a walk, and feed the squirrels. A beautiful area and a great photo my Friend.

What a gorgeous path and so peaceful looking, you captured it perfectly to my eye. Super depth and lighting, does look like a great bench to relax a while

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

That gnarly old fence provides interest as well as perspective to the scene. ...Ed

First of all I like Doug's choice of word's regarding your title. That bench isn't gonna be going anywhere unless a glacier comes through the area. I went through your gallery much as the minister in Pollyanna went through the Bible counting "the happy texts". I found 747 benches in your gallery. In fact, benches seem to be your recurring theme. Some people shoot boats, beaches, fog, trees or primarily flowers. You shoot lots of benches. I talked to my close, personal friend Sigmund Freud about what he thinks these benches might represent. I wasn't surprised what he told me.

I've seen this park a number of times in your postings. This is an interesting view. Somebody should talk to the park's maintenance crew about drinking on the job while installing those railings.

Nicely focused shot on the right side, but the left side looks funky. Not sure how you did that since focus usually is a function of distance rather than direction. My best guess is that there was a localized earthquake for a fraction of a second on the left side that caused some slight motion blur.

I always like the way you use the railings and the trails to your advantage to keep the eye moving from front to back. Looks like a lovely spot, but I also remember your descriptions of the black flies, horseflies, houseflies, deer flies, mosquitoes, bear flies and elephant flies.

I love railings like that. The bench is an object of interest for sure. Enjoyed this.
