A bit darkish, but what better time to play a friendly game. Besides you wouldn't have liked the full light, saturated til it burns your eyeballs out of their sockets version. So I did some things better left unsaid and hidden in the deep recesses of the mind.

I like it even a bit darker, except for the subject. Is this your entry in the current contest? The lighting is quite dramatic.

Other than a little cropping, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Excellent clarity, moody colors, well focused, fine DoF and an interestingly blurred background. For a shot of a couple of insects, this would make a good entry in the contest. You might consider cloning out the insects and replacing them with the ever popular park bench.
