Give me a moment to catch my breath...

After having chased this critter around the swamp for most of a well wasted morning we agreed to take a break and retire to out respective corners. The afternoon portion of the day was spent removing muck from places you usually only get it in during a visit to one of them fancy spas or a hog farm. I decided that the next time I'll use the telephoto lens instead of the macro lens and pick a likely spot and wait for the traffic to come to me.

By the way this is Floyd, if only because he looks more like a Floyd then a Gilbert or an Edgar.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Anything worthwhile is worth some suffering, Wendell. You captured excellent depth in a head-on portrait.
Have never seen that colour. Certainly is vivid. Well done.

Floyd is a very handsome dragonfly and he knows it. He sure knows how to pose to look the best. Excellent shot!

Excellent macro Wendell - very detailed - maybe too detailed for us that are bug impaired.

He's doing a hand stand to celebrate the adventure Wendell. I enjoyed reading about "Wendell's great adventure."
