What, you were expecting perhaps a photo of ashes? Sorry to disappoint the many fans of fire remains. You'll have to contend with staring at yet another photo of a sky with some odd bits of foliage intruding for variation. For musical accompaniment here's an old Elvis tune for your entertainment pleasure.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

You got me with the Elvis mate!...I bet Mrs Perkins was delighted to hear her son trying to sing!....lol

Could have been a volcano blowing up last Wednesday too!...(Were you there?)

This is a delightful scene my friend!...looks so warming on this dismal Thursday!...

The song by Elvis took me on a journey through the net, Wendell.
I didn't realize he was the son of Anthony Perkins and Berry Berenson or that his mother died on United Flight 11, September 11, 2001.
Knowing that gave this shot of the sky new meaning.

Wendell - I'm looking at this expecting to see an alien ship enter the scene at any moment. Quite a bit of drama in the sky, not that it would be raining soon in the Maritimes! Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.
