For those individuals who managed to make it to the top of the Steps this is what was awaiting you. Now make a quick wish and move along to let the others have their turn. Try not to trip over the weak-kneed and short-winded folks on your way back down the stairs. Just remember when making your wish that you don't always get what you want, but apparently though you do get what you need. So use a little creative wording and you could end up with both.

Be careful what you wish for they say, whoever 'they' are...I already got my wish...I made it up those stairs...and found this great b/w...and a song too...great image, Wendell.

Well worth the climb and there is always something specia about a wishing well. This one is unique and you captured it well.

Love this capture a very interesting looking photograph too.PLus in B&W adds a nice feel to this photo too.As for a wish,I wish you would get a move on so I can get to the bottom again lol.Great capture and nice sharp detail too.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I think people take people they don't like up there, wish they were gone and proceed to throw them in the well opening.
