This is one of those photos that named itself. Now where did I put the knife and that loaf of bread? Here's a little something to reflect on while you wait.
Very moving song, Wendell. I noticed in one of the photos that everyone had their hand over their heart, except our President. How bad is that? The empty bench speaks volumes. Excellent work.
Some things never change, Wendell. I've been gone from Caedes for six months. My first posting back is a shot of the coastal fog. Your second shot since I got back is a park bench. Rob is pretty good at naming his series shots (Rock #1, Rock #2...). This is "Bench #4,385" in the series by my count. That's weird. I misspelled the word "count" (left out the "o") and the spell checker didn't catch it. Must have added the word to my dictionary when I wrote that letter to my bitchy sister-in-law.
The shot is cropped a little tight on the right side for my tastes, but then again I'm no expert on bench photography. I think the shot is a might right or left leaning depending on which tree is perfectly vertical. Other than that, you certainly have your share of fine scenery in Nova Scotia and some of the most photographic (and photographed) benches in the Western Hemisphere.
The empty bench speaks volumes.
Excellent work.
