It's not so much that I didn't try as it is the fact that I was afraid I'd throw out my knee after taking three steps if I had attempted it. And it would take more than a duck to make me look foolish in the attempt. I do quite well in the making a fool of myself department if I do say so myself. I even have a framed certificate to proof it. Besides he never said 'Simon says...' when he made the request. So I graciously declined and went about my business.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Fantastic detail, and colors my friend, this is a fantastic shot, I might have tried to crop a bit more off the bottom, but that is just a thought. Tigs♥ =^..^=

This sort of reminds me of how our dog used to patrol the back 40... She was very small and the grass was usually pretty high... Great detail on this duck, btw, and the colors are brilliant. And I appreciate the title too. ;-)

Great capture of this Mallard. The colours and subject are great, and it also looks like you were at grass level taking this image. I bet you were trying to "walk this way" and accidentally hit the deck!! ha ha Either way, a great image. Well done!

Hi, Wendell....

Nice shot of a beautiful bird. I probably would have increased the size a bit on the left for the sake of composition. Other than that I can't find anything to bitch about. Looks like it might have been an overcast day because the face seems a tad dark. You could have set up that lighting equipment that you stole from the Hollywood set of "The Ten Commandments", but that might have frightened the poor little duck. I'll give you a solid 8.
