No spiders were to be found that day which leads me to believe this place was abandoned. It was probably the leaky roof that caused the spider to relocate. The place has since been rented out to a family of mites.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I'm totally flummoxed, Wendell. Whatever happened to your days of posting blurry shots of your neighbor's dog? There was a time when we used to laugh at your work behind your back and call you names. These days you rarely give me much to critique and it's starting to p*** me off. I had a list of synonyms that I stored just for critiques of your work. Most of them meant "bad" although the words were more colorful than that. Constructive criticism was nearly impossible back then when I would write, "No, Wendell, you point the camera at the subject. That's just a blurry photograph of your eye."

This is a seriously good shot. I'm not sure how you managed to pull the thin strands of the spider's web into such a well focused shot. The water droplets add to the sense of clarity. Wonderful use of light and dark contrast. The blue background is spectacular. Excellent job of handling the lighting as well.

One "fave", one A.C. nomination and plenty of admiration from the top skeptic on Caedes.

Despite the fact that it is bug related I had to fave this superb shot Wendell - really stunning work - it would have gotten a 10 from me in the old voting booth!!
