Or at least we would like to think it is. I think the holes prove the falsity in that statement. But denial is a great place to live until the floods come. At least it isn't keen. It does have that going for it. All those serrated leaves could really do some damage if it were.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

This little lady is dressed in her finest color, I would have tried to clone out that spot on the one petal, but what the heck, it's still a nice post. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Love the narrative, Wendell. You really should consider donating your brain to science, and I say the sooner the better.

Love the color of the bloom although I have no idea why you posted this shot on a Tuesday. Who ever heard of Foofy Tuesday? I was going to say that you have a close crop on the left, but I won't because Doug will show up and tell me I'm wrong. That guy doesn't miss anything.

Those serrated leaves do indeed look deadly which is probably why you avoided them and didn't blur or darken them as I would have preferred. They sell special photography gloves for working with sharp objects on your monitor. Well, they're not really gloves...more like wintertime mittens which makes computer work very difficult but much safer unless it's very hot outside and your fingers get heat stroke.

Speaking of heat stroke, did you hear the one about the traveling salesman who showed up in Iowa on the hottest day of the year? The farmer had two beautiful daughters....

The flower seems to be trying to get away from the leaves, Wendell.
One of your better focused shots for sure. Did you mean for it to be? :)
Like the color of the flower.
