You can believe this was either shot in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. Go with whatever works for you. For one of those to be true I'd really have to know what I'm doing while the other is plain dumb luck. I do know that I had to edit the image three times before I finally either got it right or gave up in frustration.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I think it's night with flash, though in this digital world it could be anything.
Regardless, it's well lit and well composed so the furthest flower fades off into the night.

There is so much detail in the main flower, just beautiful Wendell, and I like the fade effect behind it. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I think you shot this during the day and did some major editing. There are a few reasons for my hypothesis. Firstly, it is well documented that you are a total sissy and are afraid of the dark because you think that the werewolves and vampires will get you. Secondly, this must be an edited daylight shot because you lack anything even remotely resembling muscular coordination and would have submitted a shot full of motion blur because you would have snapped this off as you were falling. Thirdly the shadows of the flower pudenda indicate that a flash is above the flower, and you seem to be shooting directly at the flower. Fourthly the greenery in the upper right drops into shadow unnaturally. Fifthly and finally I must therefor conclude that this was done at night with a flash and that you did some horrifically bad cloning to make it look like it might have been done during the day.

I disagree with Doug and don't like the composition. However, I should add that I just finished driving through L.A. and am shaking so badly that I can barely hit the keyboard. Additionally the drive has left me shaken and stirred to the point that I can barely focus on your shot. I see some pretty colors and a lot of black...too much for a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

I'm going with flash,Wendell. Life has become pretty boring when you're down to flashing flowers.
I think it could have been cropped a little tighter, but what do I know.

I have to say this is a night shot as I like shooting flowers at night ... with flash of course. Wonderful detail on the foreground flower & I like how the other flower appears to fade away into the darkness. Beautiful work, Wendell.

Wendell - The shadows of the stamen tell me this was a daytime shot. Good work! Thad
