If only because he refused to bend his knees and get carried away. Well that and he was waiting for another free handout. With the competition not too far away one has to stay on their toes if they want to get ahead in the game.

Well, I guess a bird in shallow water is worth two in the deeper end. You could, at least, toss this one a slice of bread. He has been very patient with you in this pose.

It looks like a Pull, Wendell. That is a cross between a gull and a pigeon.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Great capture and love the tea colour of the water blending with the colour in the sea gull and the detail light and shade are superb in this capture.Also the ripples on the water with the light bouncing adds a lovely effect too.

This looks like a painting! I love the way the scalloped shapes of light in the water are similar to the white scallops in the wings. It makes the young herring gull look a part of his element. Stunning!
