A recent archeological find dating back to the age of sunshine and warmth. This specimen was found perfectly intact after digging through 10 layers of ice, snow and I really don't want to know what that brown layer was, but it was nasty.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I can see you with your paint brush and whisk broom slowing getting rid of the snow and ice so you could identify your find Wendell. You probably had a hair dryer and ice pick as well.
Your hard work paid off.

Definitely looks like gold leaf! (or is that just brown residue?) I also like.

I think I have seen pictures like yours of fossil history on the National Geographic Channel. Most of these records date back to the Holocene Epoch of the Quaternary Period, Cenozoic Era. Apparently, there was a warmer period on Earth, back then, where tall things called trees grew everywhere and additional things called leaves sprouted on tree branches and remained there until a cooling off period came and made them drop off the trees and fall to the ground. You should immediately notify the universities and museums in your neighborhood and tell them of your find.

Your find can move science further along than nearly anything else since the inventions PDAs and 8-tracks.

Ah, you dug through ten layers to get this. I thought for a moment your camera was up to taking x-rays. Cool shot.
