I have no way of verifying if this is indeed the very first spring weed. So you will have to take my word for it. It truthfully wasn't even the first one I saw. I actually spotted several clumps of them. But this one had the decency to stand off on its own.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I really like the color tones, and contrast. I did try to view it full screen, but it locked up part way. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Same here, and the initial image is never anywhere near the quality of full screen at around 1600+ X 1080 (approx).Anything from 200 to 700 Kbs is ample for top quality on a screen, and loads really fast. Anyone who could use an excellent and simple FREE Image Resizer, PM me and I'll send the link (Windows only) for both 32 and 64 bit systems.

It loaded good for me and I'm glad of it as I too like the rich tones...as for being the 'first weed' well, maybe not the first but 'they' always seem to show up first and hang around til the last...great shot.

If you stare at an orange juice container because it says, "CONCENTRATE"...you might be a redneck.

It is a 'Coltsfoot' Wendell!...and well captured too

A delightful peice of work with the dark vignetting to pull the flower to the eye

Are you sure it's a weed, a weed can't be that beautiful can it? Neat shot.

Weeds to some but pot plants for others and you captured the delicate looking flower superbly and I love the light and shade in this photo as well.

I also couldn't get it to fully load in the full screen format - I see Bob identified it for us and I am fully willing to declare it the first weed of spring - if for no other reason that means it's not still winter despite the temp!
