She stands alone on the headlands looking out to the troubled waters of the sea wondering if her man will return home safely before the storm arrives in full force. Then she remembers she married a landlubber and the great oaf just went to town for a coffee.

This is the Burntcoat Head lighthouse. At one time it stood on a small island on the opposite side of the bay.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

So the lighthouse was moved? I really like how you composed this one, and your narrative was cute one my friend. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Funny story and great photo. The woman's colorful top really stands out and the lighthouse is very interesting. The brooding skies add to your story! lol

I googled and found that the first lighthouse on an island was eventually lost to erosion and a new one built at the present site. Also, the tide gauge at Burntcoat Head has recorded the highest tidal range in the world. It's even in Guinness Book of World Records!

Great fun researching and nicely composed image.

That 'Your Lass' you left way over there then?..

Another grand and dramatic scene!...the sky detail shows that you folks should be legging it to shelter

Good one again mate

Well I was engaged by the story but knowing your warped sense of humor I was conditioned to expect the O'Henry twist at the end! The skies are most forbidding in this capture.

All would be very nice and you could go on like that telling stories of love or abandonment, if it were not for one inquisitive mind of Connie who exposed you as one who never tells the complete truth!
Agent WAS, let this be a warning to you, never underestimate the other guys spying skills!:)
Leaving the facts alone, this image is dreamy, dramatic and I can even tolerate your aborted love story...:)
