While taking a break from work I watched these two farmers make hay. I gotta say it wasn't as technical as I had thought. Nor half as exciting as it is billed to be. A bit dizzying when it comes down to it with the going in circles around the field.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Some balers just go round and round Wendell. Others are considered square.
The cows will ponder as they chew their cud.

Good depth and detail, Wenedll. Did you arrange that shot, or got there just in time. Nice composition.

It looks like a husband and wife team. He's driving the baler and she's got the combine. I like the farm house in the background. Interesting shot!

Aye mate!...but there is a method to their madness!...a tractor misses a line..and the whole field goes 'haywire'!...

Good one as you enjoy your morning snack!

Hay - It's a job. I like the depth in this one with the house in the background and the bale of hay coming out in the foreground.

A lot of us spent our youth like this (only on a Farmall) Wendell. You must be a city fellow. Great shot - not many do square (which are really rectangular) bales anymore; most are big round bales.

It's rare for me to see rectangular bales anymore in our farm country only round. It's much harder to sit on a round bale! Excellent depth and visual storytelling.

Wonderful country scene and capture, when I viewed in full it looks like one of the farms in the tractor on the left is a girl. Beautifully captured and composition
