Or maybe it's a blossom. All that I know is that it was attached to a bush and it was doing its best to attract bees. I would have given it the smell test but didn't want to risk inhaling a bee. The last thing I need is a bigger nose.

I think it is a magnolia Wendell. There are a few varieties of them. Nice shot with clear details in spite of the bright background.
