During the fence of O'Porto in the night of 24th July of 1832, S. Francisco's Convent was burned. Only the church was saved and the vast building are just ruins. Nine years after the fire, D. Maria II , Queen of Portugal orders to send one Letter of Law given the concession of the burned building to the Commercial Association of O' Porto, for they settle down the Stock Market and the Court house of Commerce of 1st instance. The Commercial Association of O'Porto - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of O'Porto ordered to build the Palacio da Bolsa in 1842 whose works were concluded in 1910, till now the palace is the main home of the Commercial Association of O'Porto. Along three generations, many architects worked in this building creating this neoclassical jewel of XIX Century.
