Builded on the 16th Century is main function was protect the mouth of the Douro, the modern building on background don't stay very weel on the shot, but the city grows around this anceient monuments and theres no way to avoid them. In the 16th century here only have the fort, water and mud around him but in the 19th century start the buildings. Oporto - Portugal

it is a good comparison between old and new Manual and a reminder that time changes things, especially with the crane in the background building something else new there! well done! Patti
