A shot from the ex-F1 portuguese driver on the track of Boavista last weekend. The urban course of Boavista isn't a new track we have two F1 Gran Prix in 1958 and 1960, drivers like Stirling Moss (winner in 58), Jack Brabham (winner in 60), Graham Hill, john Surtees and Phil Hill run in this streets. In 2005 the Oporto Mayor decided that was time for the reborn of this track with an "Historic Grand Prix" for classic race cars. This year we have races with "new" cars, like WTCC, the Formula Masters and the PTCC (Portuguese Touring Cars Championship) and in the next weekend we gonna have the Historic Gran Prix again. In the north of Portugal almost everyone love the Motorsports the WTCC was big sucess with about hundred thousand persons on the circuit watching the races. Boavista Circuit official site
