In the center of this giant Sago Palm I found the new growth about to unfold and blend in with the rest of the plant.

Not what I expected Lt. Dan. Of course I did read the title fairly fast. This would have been great for the defunct "What Is It" contest.
The b/w adds to the mystery. Cool upload.

Those curly fronds make a great natural design. B/W suits this - a fine image that catches attention Dan

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Dont get me wrong, I love this photo. It's a fine work but it's the first of yours I would love to see in color. Was this taken in B/W or converted?

This is a great composition. I think the elegance of the visual rhythms come as close as a photo can to being music. Very well done.

Dan - The desaturated color is most effective, accentuating the repetition of curled tips. Thad
