Stopped at a railway crossing, I noticed the military vehicles of all description being transported, destination unknown. They were not new and seemed endless, as far as I could see in both directions.

---They were not new and seemed endless---

Perhaps they were used in Iraq or Afganistan, Dan.

Like to agree with Bob about keeping your camera always with you.

Regards, Cornelius.

Great shot, what do you suppose is going to happen to them? Maybe a new paint job.

I was expecting to see a different kind of Hummer from your title Dan. Such a wide field of focus on this shot, well done.

Some people would be waiting at this railroad crossing impaitently and say "Awwww Man!" - but not you! :) Railroads (Class Ones anyway) frequently haul 100+ car loads at a time - making it a very effeicent use of fuel to haul such loads - and you've captured this nicely. Glad you stayed a distance away - many factors could cause a train to derail unexpectedly - and that would be one thing you wouldn't want to be around if it were to get "Side Tracked"... sorry - couldn't resist :)

Humor is perhaps a sense of intellectual perspective: an awareness that some things are really important, others not; and that the two kinds are most oddly jumbled in everyday affairs. ~Christopher Morley

Dan - Perhaps returning from overseas duty, being shipped to a supply base - a good capture of them. I like the lines of this image. Thad
