Not much life left in this old raquet but at least the frame will keep it from warping.

This is a classic! I see a lot of these in homes that have problems with bats flying around inside! Wonderful capture and the lighting is perfect.

Is that what is is!...I always thought the frame was an addition to whopping a ball further!

I had a tennis racquet and press just like that when I was about 12. I remember the logo and the Jack Kramer signature! Thanks for the memories!

This brings back many memories.
My first tennis racquet was given to me when I was about 11 or 12 by an old lady who had no further use for it - it was a Slazenger and I thought I was so lucky. It had a press just like the one in your photo.I never became a famous player lol.
The racquets of today are so different.I doubt anyone would want to play with the heavy items of the past.

Great photo Dan and thanks for the memories !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I saw his brother the soccer ball in the movie Castaway, Lt. Dan. That's the one where Forrest played a FedEX official.
Good find.

You take really intersting photos Bro; and, this one is no exception. Definitely thought provoking and I'm so happy for the frame; warping can be challenging....unless of course you are 'in warp' then you are just moving really, really, fast.

I remember playing with one that was warped so I never knew where the ball was going to go and it was so darned heavy. Maybe I needed one of those frames. Neat capture.
