(part III) "Save the source of energy," echoed in my mind. Looking around, I see the whole caving party staring at the entity in awe; mouths open apparently having not heard it speak. Save the source of energy? I asked, "Why? Where?" My voice was a surprise to everyone (including myself) in the total silence and they looked at me as though I were mad. "Follow the flame, save the source of energy," I heard. "But what energy? What do I do with it," I asked? "Follow the flame. We will speak again," my mind heard. The entity once again became a swirling mass of glowing colors and faded. In its place was a small suspended flame above our heads and my six caving partners staring at me. If I thought they had a concerned look on their face at the moment, the look on their face after telling them what I heard and planned to do was incredulous. I could sense the urgency in the request for help and decided to follow my instincts; we would let the flame lead us on.... Thanks for visiting.
