[part V] We last left our heroes in the cave just outside of a cavern where an alien thief, of sorts, was hording condensed carbon, and we had just been informed that we were to get this carbon back. “Carbon! Carbon??” I exclaimed with surprised astonishment. “You endanger our lives for this?” Understanding the urgency of our task, I didn’t really expect an answer. The entity explained how we would attempt to retrieve our earth’s essence. “The being cannot move while it holds the container of condensed carbon,” our new leader said. “I have pursued this being for several centuries and it will not be happy to see me trying to ruin its plans once again. There is an opening at the far end of this cavern. I know how to persuade this being to chase after me and it will have to release the container. You must come in after me, retrieve the sphere and its protective bindings then hurry back to the cavern where we first met.” After explaining this to Tator, Lil PJ and the rest of the crew, I told the entity we were ready. It then quickly moved into the cavern and began to circle the being making clicking and gurgling noises, which I assumed was speech from another world or time. We heard a loud “clunk” and the chase was on. The being dropped the sphere and went after the entity which prompted us to make our move. Rushing in, we grabbed the sphere (which was surprisingly light), turned around, and raced back to the first cavern where we originally met our friend. –(Don’t miss the conclusion coming soon)- [part I] [part II] [part III] [part IV] Thanks for visiting ;)

I look forward to it!

Another great episode and an interesting and illustrative fractal to boot.

I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.

Whew...I'm glad it was not heavy after all the exertion of getting to this point. The entity was kind to create a diversion and I hope it gets away...but where are we going to take this carbon, Uncle BB? And what are we going to do with it? Tator, the rest of the crew and I need to know!!

It's such a beautiful container..Can I take it home when we empty it????

:)
