Ah.... Greetings old friends. I'm finally back after graduating Magna Cum Laude last weekend. Not bad for a 53 year old hippie I guess. I am looking forward to contributing here once again and viewing everyone's work as well. This one is no great revelation, but it is something I had on hand to pop in and say hi with. Looking forward to more Apop and Bryce coming your way. ---> Mike ----> Uncle BB

Uncle BB!! We missed you. I'm glad you studied hard though. Will you be able to teach us a thing or two now?

Love the fireworks on your return flame here!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

First, congratulations on your academic success Mike. I had been popping in and out of your galleries awaiting your return to the fold, so to speak. Nice to see your work once again. Now then ...

Full-size view is really necessary to appreciate the depth of your abstract here.

Liking the seemingly contradiction of simplicity and construction. I suspect there is more than what meets the eye insofar as to how you put this one together.

And now that my mind's eye has seen this ... can't shake it from my thoughts. The central looping shape? Looks like any number of 'ribbons' used in the non-profit sector.

Might be interesting to play around with the colours and offer this up for use to whichever organization is close to your charitable heart. Fundraising, literature ... whichever and whatever. It's a nice piece.

Welcome back and but of course, thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

p.s. 'Egyptian' is coming along. I keep fiddlin' with it ... and fiddlin' ... and fiddlin' ...

The end results thus far, is the original vision I had has changed somewhat. Somewhat. And hopefully ... for the better. Stay tuned.
