Took this picture along with some other beauties recently while on my/our anniversary. This is on the north point of Pacific Grove north of Monterey, CA. We climbed way out onto some outcropping of rocks and watched for about 2 hours as the waves crashed up on this and other giant rocks.A must to visit for anyone who loves the ocean. NOTE: Had a little help with "purmusic" with this one!! Thanks. Enjoy BB

Heyyy ... you back to doing photography ... again, in addition to the flame/abstract stuff?

I cry foul. :o|

/\ Just kidding, of course.

Perhaps some Levels adjustment to bring out some more of the detail in the foreground/rocks? Just a thought.

Good natural colour. Well-balanced composition. Nice shot, Bruce.

Ok, here is the 'a picture is worth a thousand words' stuff.

And in my case, a thousand words is tallied up quite quickly. Kissed the Blarney Stone twice, doncha know. :oP

Hope you don't mind, as I downloaded your image and then applied the post processing corrections as mentioned above, more or 'les's, in CS2 Photoshop.

Plus, some sharpening ... some. At their roots, the edits performed have their roots in Phil's; aka philcUK tutorial, namely; "Faking the HDR thing ...".

Thought I would put an image where my words were concerned to illustrate the suggestions made. And they are just that; suggestions.

And by all means, if it bothers you in the slightest to have a rework of your photo up on my imageshack account, just let me know ... and down it comes. No questions asked, as it is your authored work. (That account is semi-private, by the way.)

It is a nice shot.
