Last summer we visited Santa Cruz and the crazy/fun boardwalk and of course had a ball there. Then we went for a drive along the coast going about 3 miles west of the boardwalk and right near UC Santa Cruz lies this strange and unusual outcropping of land that I just had to photograph. I sent it to the HDR clinic as it was quite dark and not presentable and walla, it came back looking good I thought!:) I am standing on the shoreline but I am about 40 feet above the waterline with a sharp drop off in front of me.These outcropping's jut out about 200 feet beyond my point of view. It's a odd perspective because I am looking down and out and I find that doesn't always work in picture taking:) This area is known as Terrace Point. For those who might find it fascinating I am giving the latitude/longitude coordinates for this area. L/L Coord: 36.948738,-122.054233 or just go to Google Earth and type in Younger Lagoon, CA. At 'G' Earth you will see the U of C Santa Cruz (Long Marine Laboratory) just southeast of the Younger lagoon. Zoom in until you see the coastline and just a bit southeast of the Lab buildings you will be able to see the actual land mass I photographed. Hope you enjoy. BB
