Found this while working downtown Oakland.It's behind glass so there's some reflection and loss of clarity but I thought it was cool.Parts salvaged from this building during the construction of the Packard lofts.Enjoy.

I have seen this type of machinery before and it great to see the top spinning round .great capture of I very nice piece of history.

A great relic from the by-gone era of mechanical computers before Packard met Hewlett. This was of course the screen saver gizmo. You could watch it spin for hours as that's pretty much all it did, later on they added bells and whistles.
A good capture of this thingamabob Bruce. Nice clarity and details in the photo.
