Bruce, another very good one of this natural phenomenon.
I saw something similar (but not to this extent) in the sand dunes in my area. But here the trees hadn't formed such twisting roots, but the roots had been exposed because the wind had blown away the soil/sand in which they lay.
The roots look like an abstract painting, Buddy.
