Those formations on the ground are actually made of salt, residue of the lake that used to cover Death Valley. I wouldn't recommend putting said salt in any food, though. :-P Hope you all enjoy!

Really neat photo. Those salt formations leap out at you, and I love the blue of mountains, clouds and sky. Nice one.

Have you ever been to Joshua Tree National Park? Apparently Joshua trees only grow at the gates of heaven and the gates of hell. They grow on two places on earth, Jerusalem and California...
