And my wife tells me that I'm the only one who photos the "Hindend" of wild animals. It's a good shot. I like it - was it with any others (such as his/her mother)
Yes...There were about 6 others near it. I happened to snap the shot just in time. Pretty soon after, the whole bunch of em scattered..lol. And yes, I too would love for the doggone animals to turn around and pose, but it just doesn't happen like that!
Wow, how did you get so close? I am impressed. It is so difficult to get some types of animals to cooperate for the camera. I cannot suggest any improvements for this photo aside from going back about 30 minutes before they come around again and positioning myself with a better angle but this shot is good enough to spur the imagination. The subject is in good framing position and the rocks provide good texture, My eye is constantly returning to the fawn's lovely coat; enough detail to tease the mind into wanting to get a better view...good shot.
Hey there haymoose...Thanks for the positive comments. Very much appreciated. Well, I had to be quiet. I have tried this kind of thing before, but mostly the animals whether they be bighorn sheep or deer, have invariably fled the scene...maybe my cologne was to strong. haha
Anyhow, I don't really consider myself a photographer per se, but I do really enjoy it, and hope that I can do right by you guys again! Thanks again for the compliments.
You know something...I never noticed before, (and I'm the one that took the pic) but if you look up at the top and slightly to the left of center, you will see the hind end of yet another deer! I guess you could name the pic Double Hindsight.
