This is for ::za4em9 , Jen. She made a comment...and I thought it was sorta cool. So...I tried to do something she envisioned, in the origional "Flat Line" Image. Added a "star field".. It's still..."Turn the page". When it over...it's over.

I like this one, too. I take back what I said about the starfield - this works very well and it does have the same feel. I think I had misunderstood the suggestion because I'd thought it was a suggestion to replace the black background behind the turned back corner with a starfield and I thought that would undermine the atmosphere of the image. But done this way, it's fantastic. I can't say whether it is an improvement or not because I like both. This has more depth in a way and a stronger sense of space being sort of warped and distorted, maybe illusory. On the other hand, the original has a certain stark simplicity, a bluntness and abruptness which I also like.

So, I guess I just have to say: congratulations are definitely due on _both_ counts.

cool... I must confess that your idea of starfield is much better than mine. The gaseousness is a great touch, at least the way it looks on my monitor. and an interesting idea of the title... crack in time. I likes.
