I'm not real fond of these little creatures, but they are interesting to shoot. I can't figure this out though. The big guy is about 2" on just the body length alone. The little guy is about half an inch. I'm wonderin if the little one is the male or just a leftover baby!! :-) Thanks for takin a look.

What an excellent job you have done with this photo. I have no idea why the difference in size of the two spiders, but you have brought out such great and colorful detail in them. The web is great, and I really like the soft focus on the ends. Nice.

Oooh a banana spider!! Those things get huge (Females) don't they?!! Anyhow I really enjoy the blur effect around the spider giving her an omnipotent status in the frame! Very nice!!

The world wide web at your fingertips Greg. Nice post. I hate walking through the webs when I am in the timber. I sneeze for hours. lol Just a really clear capture. Excellent composition and presentation.

Great close up of this not so pretty creature.. I found this on the web and think it's the same... the Golden silk orb-weaver . If the same, we found them here in SA too, and it's so pretty, specially when the sun catch the yellow in those webs, it really looks like thin threads of gold - therefor it's "afrikaans" name of "Goue Web Spinnekop" or translated "Golden Web Spider".
