it's pretty nice and well done, but you said yourself you took the ideas of others-- which isnt a bad thing, the Romans were HUGE on building off the ideas of others. but since this contest is so much about creativity, you really didnt show it with this.

I don't really agree with you here. there's a huge difference between just copying someone's work and being inspired by it ... and obviously I don't think it's a copy.
you just can't create something with no foreign influence. people, arts, whatever...
just look at the japanese... they absorb other cultures, arts, thoughts... and make them their own... with a rather strong effectiveness !^^.

i really like the way you put the title at the bottom, and in that color, font, etc. i also like the superimposed feeling of it, and i really like the red/grey mix. and i agree with cain--there is a huge difference between broaching a copyright by stealing artwork and honoring the work of someone else by letting its inspiration influence your own. excellent work.
