I'm not ready to give up on this one yet. I still like the photo and I hope the major malfunction the first time around was only the hideous frame and not the photo itself...well, I've re-framed it and would like to know what you think.

I think it is much better with the new frame. It's a lovely garden to start with and you don't want the frame to over power the image.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

You were right not to give up on this photo :) I've seen both and this one is definitely better, the frame is nice, discreet. I'm wondering if the photo itself might not be a bit overexposed, but then again it's very nice like this, it's really a lovely garden you've captured here.

It is spring and some ladies loose their heads. Smile. Another lovely image of that lovely place and in fact I think, it would not need any frame.

I like it very much! I will use it as my inspiration, since I spent a prickly 45 minutes yesterday attempting to prune the roses on my single rose arbor! Nice color balance, interest in both foreground and background, unobtrusive frame...good keeper pic.

I also like the new frame a lot better, this one is more understated and does not draw the attention away from the image. I also like the symmetry and the garden is beautiful.
