HI ROGER HERE IS THE PICTURE OF THE FIDDLEHEAD THAT IVE TOLD YOU ABOUT YESTERDAY ;IF YOU NOTICE ON THE PHOTO THEIR A FIDDLEHEAD MISSING IT IS TO SHOW YOU ALL WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN YOU PICK THEM UP . YOU CUT THEM JUST AN INCH UNDERNEATH THE HEAD WASH THEM IN COLD WATER TO REMOVE THE LITTLE BROWN SKIN ; THEN YOU BOIL THEM FOR HALF AN HOUR RINSE THEM AND YOU PUT BUTTER ON IT AND IT READY TO EAT SOME PEOPLE COOK THEM WITH SALTED PORK MAKES THE TASTE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT YUMMY IT SO GOOD HOPE YOU ENJOY GIGI

I have never eaten fiddlehead ferns so like Sandi I will take yours and Kathy's word them being good.
I like the shot , good angle and composition.

Shows just how little I know about the world around me. I didn't even know that a fiddlehead was a plant until you posted the original shot. Now I know it's a fern. I have some poison oak out back and will try it in my salad tonight along with those mysterious looking mushrooms I found on this morning's walk. If you don't hear from me in a week, call the paramedics.

Seriously excellent shot, Gigi. Your postings get better every day. The subject is suitable off center, you shot the entire plant without cutting off even a small stem, the background is complex but suitably blurred, the colors and the focus are excellent. "Faves" for me on this one. And thanks for the cooking tips. I think I'll pass.

Well now, I never would have thought to eat one of those. Sounds good when cooked right though. Very nicely photographed too. Well done.
