The ringed-tail Lemur, which is a primate closely related to monkeys and found in the wild on the island of Madagascar, spends most of its time on the ground but also is an excellent tree-climber. With a diet of mostly fruits, leaves, flowers, insects, tree gum and bark, this creature when fully grown weighs in at about 6 to 8 pounds and its body length of about 16 inches is exceeded by a beautiful tail some 2 feet long.

This fella is quite good looking! I like how the face is bathed in sunlight and the rest of the body seems to be dancing in the sunlight. I would have liked to have seen the entire tail (all 2 feet of it), but some things cannot be helped, eh? Thanks for the great explanation about the Lemur as well as the lovely photo. Thanks for sharing this with us :~)
