this is a good shot. i think, however, you may want to focus in on one of the ducks. there doesn't seem to be any one spot or subject you want to bring attraction to. the clarity of the shot is great. animal and bird shots are tough..! keep em coming!
yes i agree with the previous, with the name of the picture i can identify that the focus is with the ducks, however purely looking at the photo its not completely specific what the focus is. However great job of not catching the glare off the water - and hence fulling being able to see the depths below the water. Cheers
Strictly from the standpoint of using this as desktop wallpaper, the image is kinda busy. A focus on one duck would help define the intent of the shot and give the viewer a focus point. Maybe play with highlights & shadows?
You've captured all of them cleaning themselves at the same time, Very clever. Their is just a few colors in this shot, And it was the texture of the rocks underwater that caught my eye, And you have it in the whole frame which to me is a big plus. You have given me a good Idea of what I need for my next project, So I thank you 2times for sharing
G'day Christopher,
This is pretty cool mate. Most of us have seen at some time those three ducks on a wall decoration and this echoes that with great humour. Ideally the two ducks on the left edge would be cloned out (Or cropped out.) but it would be a headache to do with the rock pattern as the background to the cloning. The simple palette works, I think, with the ducks almost looking like rocks themselves. (Gives a hint to the evolutionary reason for their plumage perhaps.) Nice shot.
Mikel.
