I was experimenting with macro feature of my Canon SX40HS and held the camera a few inches from my eye and took the photo. I'm impressed how the camera was able to lock focus and exposer without me seeing what was happening. I know there's automatic focus and such, but I didn't think it would work out the way it did.

That is an amazing and extreme shot Alex! Quite creative, aren't experiments with the camera fun?! You have very nice eyes (and you must be young, you have no wrinkles yet)!:)

Thanks Tina. I'm in my mid 40's for what it's worth. I thought I would take a break from the bird pics and do something different. It's amazing to see the microscopic blood vessels, etc

Camera picked up your sclera, nerve wreath, density of fibers, and coloring really well. Very nice detail! This is just about the quality that an Iridologist would take of your eye if one were to look at it. - Thanks for sharing
