After initially viewing this photo, I noticed some interesting aspects to it. In the upper right hand area around the sun at about 2 O'clock position you can see what appears to be outcroppings of solar flares. Then, around the 11 O'clock position it appears to be Mercury, but not quite certain. You can also see the corona of the sun itself in this shot.

Beautiful capture of the sun with nice warm color. I have a feeling it's going to be a very hot day. I see the solar flares too. Wonderful capture, Alex.

I see what you are talking about. You must have been seeing spots for a while after taking the shot. Well done.

I see the one at 2 o'clock - can't find the one at 11. I really like the way the sun lights up the trees - beautiful image Alex.

Great image...you can't see the one at 11 unless you download it and enlarge it, but it's there! Amazing photo.

The 11 O'clock feature is just one pixel but it's there, you really have to look close. Mercury is like a row boat next to a cruise ship as you know, so it's real hard to see.

I see all you mentioned about the sun. Hope you aren't seeing dots before your eyes looking directly at the sun. That is an amazing capture of it.

Wowsie, this is so Impressive, I downloaded to be able to really give it a up close view. It definitely think those are solar flares and I bet it is Mercury, according to the astronomers they are suppose to near each other to view
